Subaru Forester and the Path to Self, Kayla’s Story
Kayla’s story @natureinhereyes is about life on the road, where the Subaru Forester becomes a personal space of freedom, quiet, and reset. She started driving without plans or the intention to change anything. Just at some point, the road and the car became a space where it was easier for her to be and stay alone with herself.
«At first, it wasn’t anything big. Just a night here and there. Sleeping in my car, waking up in the mountains, trying to clear my head. I didn’t realize it at the time, but those trips were slowly changing me. Car camping gave me something I didn’t even know I needed. It gave me space.»
The first trips were spontaneous, without preparation, without a system, just the road and nights wherever the situation allowed. Over time, these trips became a natural part of life, and they brought a silence in which inner tension gradually dissolved and a rare sense of simplicity and presence in the moment appeared.

«When people think about car camping, they usually assume they need the perfect setup, the right car, or a ton of gear. I thought that too. But the truth is, you don’t need any of that to start. I started with a car full of stuff, barely any room to sleep, and no real system. It wasn’t perfect, but it was enough. Over time, I figured out what worked for me. I created a setup where I can pull up and go to sleep without overthinking it, where everything has a place, and where I actually have space to breathe. It didn’t happen overnight. It happened because I kept going.»
